Gosh-e Fil

To make homemade Gosh-e Fil, you need to mix your ingredients and make the first dough. Then it would help if you let it rest for30 minutes. After resting and sprinkling some more flour on it, you need to knead the dough. Finely, you rolled the dough out and pull out the small round dough and make your ears shape the dough. After heating oil, you can fry the ears-shape parts. After turning the ears to golden and removing them from oil, you need to drain the extra oil by putting them on paper to wel. After sprinkling sugar and pistachios powder on them, they are ready, and you can serve them.

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom
  • 5 tablespoon crushed pistachios


  • Sift the flour and put it aside.
  • Break the eggs into a bowl and batter them.
  • Add other ingredients, including butter, cardamom, baking powder, salt, sugar, and milk.
  • Stir them until you have a smooth mixture.
  • Start to add the flour little by little and stir it until you form the primary dough.
  • Start Kneading the dough for about 10 minutes.
  • Cove the dough with a piece of plastic and let it rests for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, uncover the dough and put it on the rolling pinboard.
  • Check it to see if it is sticky or not. If it is sticky, sprinkle more flour on it and knead it again for another 10 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough thinly.
  • Make small round dough buy pressing small round bowl or glass on it and pull them off.
  • Make your ear-shape dough with that little round dough that you have pulled off.
  • Reheat the oil. Place the ears in the hot oil and fry them.
  • Remove them when they turn to golden.
  • Putt them on a paper towel and drain extra oil
  • Sprinkle them with powder sugar and pistachios.
  • Place them on the serving tray and let them cool down for some more minutes.
  • It is ready.
  • Serve it and Noosh-e-Jaan.


Uniqop's advice

  • Add some brewed saffron to some of your dough. So you will have colourful sweets.
  • Add some rose water for more smell and taste.
  • You can store them in an airtight container for future days.
